Uzbekistan market entry and local representation support

A local engineering counterpart for manufacturers and suppliers entering Uzbekistan. The service is organised in five stages, each with a clear division of responsibility between the manufacturer and Quality Planning.

Division of responsibility

What you do, what we do

The question a business development manager actually needs answered is what remains their own work. This is that answer.

StageThe manufacturerQuality Planning
1 · AssessmentProvides product data, reference projects and target segments.Reviews demand, sector programmes, competing supply and the regulatory and procurement environment in Uzbekistan.
2 · Opportunity identificationConfirms which project types and sizes are commercially of interest.Identifies and screens projects and tenders, and reports the technical and procurement route for each.
3 · Technical complianceSupplies the original design, calculations and certification held in the home market.Maps the documentation onto ShNK/KMK requirements, identifies what must be re-issued locally, and prepares the submission for state expert review (государственная экспертиза).
4 · Client engagementTakes part in meetings and holds the commercial relationship.Arranges meetings, presentations and technical discussions, and represents the project at working level.
5 · Delivery supportSupplies equipment and factory support under its own contract.Adapts equipment and systems to the site and adjacent networks, and provides working design and site support.

How we describe a relationship

We describe a representation only once it exists in writing

Quality Planning states a representation, distribution or agency relationship for a manufacturer only where that relationship is held in a written authorisation, and confirms its scope separately for each project. Until such an authorisation is in place we work as an independent engineering consultant on the client's side, which is a different role and is described as such in every document we issue.

For a manufacturer this is the relevant test of a prospective partner: a counterpart who overstates one relationship will overstate yours. Product and brand availability, and any form of manufacturer representation, are therefore always subject to the manufacturer's written authorisation.
